I am planning to refuse the scanners and ask for a grope when I fly next month. Although I am not paranoid, I have seen some articles from convincing sources (UCSF) that do imply some harm. I'm pregnant, I'm not taking any chances.
But my bigger issue is this: it's all security theater. I agree with the notion that Israeli security has the right idea - not sure about its implementation elsewhere, but what we're doing is NOT going to stop a determined saboteur.
